CAMLOGIC INDUSTRIAL SECTORS

CAMLogic level sensors can be applied in different industrial plants. The level switches are suitable for contact with different materials and have various uses.

Let us discover together some examples of concrete applications taken from specific case studies. Click on the company you are interested in to find out more about the collaboration with CAMLogic!

The company PAL builds industrial wood treatment plants and has chosen the PFG05 level sensor, applying it in two different ways. Specifically, at the top of the silo (as an emergency maximum) and at the bottom of the silo, in matching pairs protected by a baffle (to detect the minimum level where the extraction stops).

Safyem Eskisehir, an animal food industry, was looking for a level switch that could tolerate high temperatures and corrosive materials. The choice turned to the PFG05AT model, which offers resistance to high temperature environments of up to 200ºC and is suitable for contact with corrosive materials.

Scolari S.R.L produces drying, dehydration, roasting and composting equipment. Sometimes the risk of explosion, corrosion or high temperatures can affect the detection of material in tanks and silos. The product range identified as suitable is the PFG57 model series, which is ATEX and MOCA certified and includes small level indicators with flange connection to the process and 24/48V (AC) electrical connection.

The company Nuova Ciba by Zeppelin, which specializes in plant design for the rubber, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, chose three different level sensors. The PFG05 model with 600mm extension for powder storage plants (mainly carbon black and silica); the small PFG57 model for tank weighing and the PFGLP22 float with flanged connection for tanks that contain aggressive and corrosive substances.

Barcom srl builds water purification and filtration systems for ceramic powders. The company needed three ATEX 2014/34/EU certified level sensors to control the handling and dosing of powders and granules (even at high temperatures). The solutions identified were the PFG05 (suitable for standard temperature environments); the PFG05AT (suitable for high temperature environments -max 200°C) and the PFG06 (capacitive level sensor with adjustable sensitivity used for visualising tank filling in pneumatic powder conveying systems using compressed air).

The company Im.ag.in Solution, a producer of grain drying equipment, was looking for a control system that could tolerate extreme temperatures, function even after periods of inactivity, and provide adequate protection against moisture.

The solution proposed by Camlogic was the PFG05ATFV, a paddle level switch for temperatures up to 200°C with a double flange, which allows the draining of condensation caused by the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the silo.

Lorandi Silos deals with the handling, storage and processing of compostable and biodegradable bioplastics. The company has chosen to rely on the PFG05 level sensor for solids.

CAMImpianti manufactures powder storage and handling systems in a variety of sectors: from the food industry to the chemical and plastic industries, to the construction industry. The solution for them was found with the PFG05 and PFG05X models.

Nuova Idropress designs systems and machines for the production, processing and recovery of expanded polystyrene for the building industry, and their choice turned to the PFG57 model.

Other applications

In addition to those listed above, there are numerous other applications, including asphalt production plants; raw material extrusion and drying plants; waste-to-energy plants; foundry plants; waste water treatment plants; oil & gas; chemical-pharmaceutical and food plants.
