Ammann is a world-leading supplier of mixing plants, machines, and services for the construction industry, with specific expertise in road construction and transportation infrastructure. The family-run company, founded in 1869, boasts international success. Hans-Christian Schneider, the current CEO of Ammann, represents the sixth generation of the family leading the company.

CUSTOMER REQUIREMENTS

Ammann India's operations involve handling a range of materials within filling towers, buffer silos, and hot mineral silos. The company needed a precise and reliable level indicator to monitor material levels in real time, improving safety and efficiency in production processes. The specific requirements included:

PROPOSED SOLUTIONS

After a thorough evaluation of Ammann's problem, CAMLogic proposed the PFG05AT level indicator for its durability, configuration flexibility, and proven performance in industrial environments. Three configurations of the PFG05AT model were employed in Ammann's silos, each meeting different application needs:

PFG05AT-72 (220 LG): Suitable for compact silos, ensuring optimal material monitoring.

PFG05AT-78 (900 LG): Designed for tall silos, providing complete and accurate level readings.

PFG05AT-56 (350 LG): Suitable for medium-height silos, balancing precision and coverage.

Operating at 24V DC, each level sensor provides a constant and high-quality material level indication, improving operational safety and plant efficiency for Ammann.

CONCLUSIONS

The CAMLogic PFG05AT level sensor provided Ammann India with a reliable, high-performance solution tailored to the diverse needs of its silos. With custom configurations for compact, medium, and tall silos, Ammann achieved precise material monitoring and increased efficiency.
